<br />PARKS, RECREATION AND HUMAN SERVICES COMMISSION <br />Minutes of the Regular Meeting of June 25, 2013 <br /> <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br />The Regular Meeting of the Parks, Recreation & Human Services Commission was called to order <br />by Vice Chair Shaw at 6 p.m. <br /> <br />ROLL CALL <br /> <br />Vice Chair, Wil Shaw; and Commissioners, Bill McMillan, Steve Shatynski, and Sylvia San Filippo. <br />Chair, Leah Brazo, was absent. <br /> <br />STAFF PRESENT <br /> <br />Chris Emeterio, Community Services Director; Sean L. Matlock, Community Services Manager; <br />Carrie Hernandez, Senior Management Analyst; Chris Beckman, Parks Supervisor; and Lenore <br />Sommers, Executive Assistant. <br /> <br />PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE <br /> <br />Vice Chair Shaw <br /> <br />INVOCATION <br /> <br /> <br />Vice Chair Shaw <br /> <br />ANNOUNCEMENTS <br /> <br />Commissioner McMillan announced that he will be “on call” on July 4 and will not be able to help <br />provide information to the community about upcoming projects at the Commission table at the Country <br />Fair on Thursday, July 4. <br /> <br />APPROVAL OF MINUTES <br /> <br />Minutes of the Regular Meeting of May 28, 2013, were approved as submitted. <br /> <br />MATTERS FROM THE AUDIENCE <br /> <br />None <br /> <br />SCHOOL DISTRICT REPRESENTATIVE <br /> <br />School District representative, Barbara Ott, reported that the school year has ended and that staff is <br />getting ready for fall. She also reported that the School Board approved a 12-month contract to add <br />a class room building to the Olinda Elementary School on Birch Street. <br /> <br />CORRESPONDENCE <br /> <br />While reviewing correspondence, Commissioners were advised that in addition to the thank you <br />letters directed to specific groups, there were eight thank you letters addressed to Chevron <br /> <br />
