ORDINANCE N0. 216 <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BREA <br />DECLARING ITS INTENTION TO ABANDON CERTAIN STREETS <br />AND FIXING THE TIME AND PLACE OF PROTESTING AGAINST <br />SUCH ABANDONMENT. <br />The City Council of the City of Brea does ordain as follows: <br />THAT WHEREAS, it has been brought to the attention of the <br />Council and a request has been made that the hereinafter streets <br />or properties be vacated or abandoned as streets and that the City <br />Council does hereby declare its intention to abandon said properties <br />or streets as such; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, NOTICE IS HERBY GIVEN that Wednesday, June <br />7, 1950, at 7:30 o'clock P. M. in the Council Room Chambers of the <br />City Hall of the City of Brea, Brea, California. is hereby fixed <br />as the time and place where anyone having objections to the said <br />abandonment of said properties as streets will be heard and deter- <br />mined by the Council, and anyone having objections thereto should <br />have their objections on file at or prior to said time. <br />That the properties heretofore mentioned which the Council <br />hereby declares its intention to abandon as streets are shown on <br />a map or plan on file in the Office of the City Clerk, to which <br />reference is hereby made for further particulars, and said properties <br />are described as follows: <br />EAST FIR STREET: That portion of East Fir Street, shown as <br />Eighth Street on map of W. J. Hole Tract recorded in Book 2, page 25 <br />of Miscellaneous Maps, records of Orange County, which extends from <br />the southeasterly line of Tract No. 1361 as shown on map recorded in <br />Book 42, pages 4 and 5 of Miscellaneous Maps, records of Orange <br />County, to the southerly boundary of said City of Brea. <br />LAUREL AVENUE: That portion of Laurel Avenue, shown as Laurel <br />Avenue on said map of W. J. Hole Tract, which extends southwesterly <br />from the northwesterly prolongation of the northeasterly line of <br />Lot 29 of said W. J. Hole Tract to the southerly boundary of said <br />City of Brea. <br />
